Willow Creek Group, LLC builds websites and sells accessibility checks and fixes to other businesses. This page says how our own site measures up, what is known not to work yet, and how to reach me if something on it does not work for you.
The short version
Every page of willowcreek.group is built and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1, at Level AA. If anything on it does not work for you, call or email and I will fix it, or get you the same information another way.
The standard
WCAG 2.1 is published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Level AA is the level most organizations are asked to meet, and it is the level I test client sites against. It covers things like text you can read against its background, a site you can use with a keyboard alone, forms that say what went wrong in words, and nothing that moves or plays without a way to stop it.
How it was tested
Every page was tested on October 9, 2026, at a desktop width and a phone width:
- An automated check with axe-core 4.10, against the WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 A and AA rules, after scrolling each page to the bottom so everything had loaded.
- By hand, with a keyboard alone: every link, button, menu and form, in order, with the focus ring checked on each one.
- Each page’s accessibility tree, which is what a screen reader reads out: headings, landmarks, labels, names of buttons and links, and the messages a form announces.
- Text against its background measured in pixels wherever it sits on a photo, a video or a gradient, at its lightest point.
- 200% zoom, a screen 320 pixels wide, and text spacing increased to the WCAG test values, checking that nothing is cut off, overlaps or needs scrolling sideways.
Pages change, so the check is repeated whenever a page is added or redesigned.
What does not work yet
These are known, and outside what this site controls or not yet fixed:
- Pages on other websites. Links to newspaper articles, Google Maps and Google Business, Facebook Messenger, the sites I built for clients, and the sources of the photos on Wikimedia Commons go to sites run by other people. Their accessibility is up to them.
- KaizoCore downloads. The KaizoCore app’s release files and notes are hosted on GitHub, and the Android app itself is not covered by this statement.
- The report PDF. The downloadable PDF of the Ohio Valley Digital Report is not tagged for screen readers. Every figure in it is on the report page, with each chart’s numbers written out as text. Ask and I will send it in another format.
Motion and sound
Nothing on this site plays sound. Anything that moves by itself for longer than five seconds, like the phone videos on the homepage, has a pause button next to it. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site does not animate and the videos do not start.
Tell me if something does not work
If a page, a form or a button does not work with the way you use the web, tell me which page and what happened. I answer within two business days. If I cannot fix it quickly, I will get you the same information or service another way: by phone, by email or on paper.
